John J. DiIulio, Jr. is the Frederic Fox Leadership Professor of Politics, Religion, and Civil Society at the University of Pennsylvania, a member of the National Academy of Public Administration. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including, most recently, Bring Back the Bureaucrats: How More Federal Workers Will Result in Better (And Smaller!) Government (Templeton Press, 2015).
